Clearsight Advises Competitive Capabilities International (Pty) Ltd. in its Perpetual Global License Agreement with EY Catalyst Limited
Clearsight Advisors, Inc. (“Clearsight”) is pleased to announce another successful software transaction. Clearsight served as the exclusive strategic and financial advisor to Competitive Capabilities International (Pty) Ltd., (“CCi”) in its perpetual global license agreement with EY Catalyst Limited, a member firm of Ernst & Young Global Limited. This operational improvement software and consulting transaction further illuminates Clearsight’s position as the leader in advising high-end tech-enabled services firms.
CCi, a global leader in continuous improvement solutions, has honed its technology solution over the last 20 years. This software, which is in place in over 2,000 implementations spanning 70 countries around the globe, will now be a critical piece of the EY Catalyst cloud-based performance improvement platform. The agreement entitles EY Catalyst to use the current version of TRACC Content and TRACC Platform rights for the full suite of CCi’s flagship product, TRACC, a manufacturing and supply chain continuous improvement system. EY Catalyst and other EY member firms will market the product under their own brand.
CCi is a privately held, global company that enables organizations to deliver sustainable results across the supply chain through a continuous improvement system called TRACC. TRACC is highly focused on creating an organizational culture centered around employee engagement that brings forward effective operational efficiencies and maximizes value to customers. It is designed to deliver truly sustainable bottom-line results through building deeply embedded best practices to support an organization’s journey to excellence.
“Clearsight was an invaluable advisor to the CCi team during this process. Their creativity and perseverance were critical to us successfully completing this very complex transaction,” said John Mulcahy, Chairman of Competitive Capabilities International.
Joel Kallett, Co-Founder, CEO and Managing Director of Clearsight Advisors commenting on the transaction highlighted, “This IP focused transaction was highly nuanced given the various objectives of both parties. It is clear that the CCi team has developed a world renowned suite of software and content solutions that enable their clients to systematically pursue best practices in a continuous improvement system. The EY Catalyst team had the vision and foresight to identify TRACC and how best to leverage the system in a new and differentiated offering”.
CCi will retain its existing rights over the TRACC product and the associated brands and will continue to serve its existing and new clients, which remain unaffected by the agreement. The deal will enable CCi to build on its unparalleled 30 years’ experience in the manufacturing and supply chain management environments by deepening its innovation efforts across the continuous improvement value chain.
