Clearsight Advisors’ Co-Founder, Gretchen Seay, Named One of 2018’s Most Influential Women

Clearsight Advisors’ Gretchen Frary Seay was named one of 2018’s Most Influential Women in the third edition of Mergers & Acquisitions special report celebrating 35 leading female transaction professionals.

The challenges women face in achieving top-tier status in financial services are particularly acute in the middle market, where women account for approximately 14 percent of all dealmakers. Gretchen and the rest of these women, 35 of the Most Influential Women In Middle Market M&A, have stood the test of time and adversity.

As a Managing Director of the firm, Gretchen has advised on over  40 transactions.  Some of Gretchen’s more recent notable deals have included: ThinkBig’s sale to Teradata; JackBe’s sale to SoftwareAG; DataSource’s sale to EXL; VanDyke’s sale to Jacobs and Arryve’s sale to Grant Thornton.

Gretchen commented on being recognized for this prestigious designation, “It is an honor to be listed among this impressive, stellar group of female M&A professionals.  What a nice early Christmas present and wonderful surprise for Clearsight and myself!”

Joel Kallett, Clearsight’s CEO, added, “We are thrilled to see Gretchen receive this well-deserved recognition. While Clearsight and her clients always knew how fantastic Gretchen is, now the broader public has been made aware of her talents. Understanding the unique challenges that women in our industry face, I am personally very pleased to see my Partner and friend receive this outstanding honor.”

In addition to her role at Clearsight, Gretchen sits on a variety of boards and councils. These include the University of Texas Business School Advisory Council, the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Big Data Committee, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) committee and the TeXChange Dallas board.
