Clearsight Advises Qlarion in its Acquisition by GCOM
Clearsight Advisors, Inc. (“Clearsight”) is pleased to announce another successful transaction in its Big Data & Analytics Practice. Clearsight served as the exclusive advisor to Qlarion, Inc. (“Qlarion” or “The Company”) in its acquisition by GCOM Software, Inc. (“GCOM”), a portfolio company of Sagewind Capital. This deal highlights Clearsight’s expertise at the convergence of Data Analytics, Public Sector Technology, and Healthcare IT.
Qlarion is an award-winning data analytics and business intelligence firm based in Reston, VA. The Company provides best-in-class technology solutions to state and local governments to enhance constituent engagement, reduce costs, and improve efficiency and business decisions. Notably, the Qlarion team developed the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Framework for Addiction Analysis and Community Transformation (FAACT) data-sharing initiative, which played a key role in Virginia’s COVID-19 response.
Qlarion marks GCOM’s fourth acquisition since 2018 and its first in the data analytics space. Qlarion will serve as GCOM’s data analytics practice and provide deeper data-driven capability across its current solutions portfolio. The resulting platform will be a market leader in public sector analytics at the state and local level.
Jake Bittner, President and CEO of Qlarion, praised the deal, saying “We are very excited to begin our new partnership with GCOM and are immensely grateful to the Clearsight team for helping us along the way. Clearsight offered invaluable advice and perspective in considering our options and proved a relentless advocate in negotiating and completing the transaction. I would strongly recommend Clearsight for their domain expertise and unyielding commitment in pursuit of our strategic financial goals.”
Clearsight Director Alex Johnston added, “Jake, Adam, and the Qlarion team provide best-in-class analytics solutions for the public sector. Their work with the Commonwealth of Virginia is a model for others to follow in creating positive outcomes in public health. The Company’s transaction with GCOM creates a clear leader in the state and local market as public sector entities are seeking collaborative, data-driven approaches to drive policy outcomes, particularly within public health. It was a privilege to work with Qlarion and we are excited to see them scale their impact as part of this winning combination.”
