Clearsight Advises Farsight Security in its Acquisition by DomainTools

Clearsight Advisors, Inc. (“Clearsight”) is pleased to announce another successful transaction in its Cybersecurity practice. Clearsight served as the exclusive advisor to Farsight Security, Inc. (“Farsight”) in its acquisition by DomainTools, LLC (“DomainTools”), a portfolio company of Battery Ventures (“Battery”). This deal marks a landmark transaction for Clearsight in the threat intelligence and incident response sub-sectors.

Farsight is a San Mateo, CA-based cybersecurity firm focused on providing world-renowned Domain Name System (DNS) intelligence solutions. Farsight’s solutions provide real-time actionable threat intelligence and insight into domain tools, enabling organizations to become more secure by detecting threats and responding to incidents efficiently and accurately. With the addition of Farsight, DomainTools will become a clearer and more distinct leader in the DNS-based intelligence and investigation space.
