Clearsight Advisors, Inc. (“Clearsight”) is pleased to announce the completion of another highly successful transaction in their Professional Services Practice. Clearsight served as the exclusive strategic and financial advisor to The Frankel Group Associates, LLC in its acquisition by Huron Consulting Group Inc.
For more than 20 years, Frankel Group has served a diverse client base including global pharmaceutical, emerging bio/pharmaceutical, device and diagnostic companies as well as investment firms serving the life sciences industry. Frankel Group’s strategic solutions include Corporate Strategy, R&D Optimization, Business Development Advisory, and Commercialization Strategies.
The acquisition, which closed January 6, 2014, will result in approximately 50 Frankel Group professionals joining the Huron Life Sciences team. Along with Barry Frankel, the following individuals will join Huron as managing directors: Lester Cheng, Nathan Dowden, David Gilman, Benjamin Rymzo, and Marc Tomassi. Frankel Group will be included in the Huron Education and Life Sciences segment.
“The Clearsight team expertly helped to guide us through this process to help identify the right potential partners and ultimately negotiate the optimal transaction for Frankel Group. Our selection of Clearsight as our strategic financial advisor was reaffirmed time and time again as their understanding of the Strategy and Life Sciences Consulting market coupled with the unique requirements of successfully negotiating a Professional Services M&A deal manifested itself at several critical junctures in our process,” stated Barry Frankel, Managing Director and Founder of Frankel Group.
“We have had a long-standing relationship with Frankel Group and were thrilled that we could help them achieve a successful outcome with a great strategic partner in Huron Consulting. Frankel Group is a true consulting partnership that represents what is best about a group of professionals coming together to deliver high-end strategic advice to their clients. The collegial camaraderie of the Frankel team was a pleasure to witness and work with,” said Joel Kallett, Managing Director at Clearsight Advisors.
